Empowering Your Growth with Customised Training
Our training encourages you to develop and build on your knowledge around the different needs and experiences of autistic survivors of sexual violence and related abuse. Through a variety of delivery formats, training will increase your understanding and awareness of the support requirements of autistic survivors.
Autistic individuals frequently encounter barriers to services, and it is critical that training is delivered by those with insider expertise. Our workshops and case studies are designed to complement the array of knowledge of skills within your organisation. As such, they provide space to share and discuss thoughts, reflect on problems presented, and to work collaboratively to respond to a diversity of challenges encountered by autistic individuals endeavouring to access support.
Our training and workshops are suitable for anyone looking to increase their awareness of autism and sexual violence and related abuse experienced by this cohort. We work with all professionals who support autistic survivors. These include, but are not limited to:

Introduction to Specialist Support for Autistic Survivors
This training covers some of the key similarities and differences experienced by autistic and non-autisitc survivors of sexual violence and related abuse. Critically, we will explore how a lack of understanding of these can present as a barrier to support for autistic individuals.
This training will be around 2 hours
Exploring Barriers to Recovery
Challenges that autistic / learning disabled individuals experience within the Criminal Justice System, and in relation to their recovery, are explored in this training. We then explore how these challenges can then be linked to the building of a range of adaptable coping strategies unique to each victim-survivor.
This training will be around 1.5 hours
Supporting Autistic Adults Around Choice
Options available to support autistic survivors are explored throughout this training. An overview is provided of a variety of support roles to assist autistic adult survivors in processing information and making informed choices. Significantly, the potential impact of a failure to provide an informed choice to survivors is discussed.
This training will be around 2 hours
Supporting Autistic Child Survivors
This training explores ways to support the autistic child survivor with processing and communicating information to avoid overwhelm. Strategies presented delve into different sensory profiles and the expression of feelings and emotions.
Autistic Inertia or Neurotypical Barriers
This training provides an overview of key challenges experienced by autistic survivors endeavouring to access various support services. Key to this support is understanding the inter-relationship between individual needs, autistic inertia, and their unique recovery process.

Supporting Autistic Adult Survivors going through The Report to Court Process
This training breaks down the Report to Court process, explores options, and embeds features such as accessibility and communication differences in order to minimise overwhelm and ensure that the process is equitable for the autistic survivor.
